Our summer pattern is now well established. Large schools of perch are feeding on small shad & herring along the main river channel & in coves adjacent to same. White perch are readily taken by vertical jigging sabiki rigs weighted with lead jiggging spoons. Spotted bass, largemouth, and flathead catfish follow these perch schools and can be caught by carolina rigging them and dropping them down in the lower half of the water colunm. The occasional striper may show up around the perch too. Trolling crankbaits around main channel points, shoals and humps is effective on spotted bass too. Fish On!
